Hillary Clinton: Plan to Support Children, Youth, and Adults Living with Autism and their Families

Profectum Foundation, on the forefront of developmental intervention, training and advocacy for lifespan developmental approaches, applauds the just issued briefing plan by Hillary Clinton to support children, youth and adults with autism and their families.  Clinton specifies the inclusion of both developmental and behavioral services in work with families, and calls for a detailed comprehensive autism policy that will ensure expanding services, funding in the public and private sector, integrated employment services, research and training.

We encourage all candidates and policy makers to advocate for comprehensive lifespan approaches and parent choice in their policy proposals to meet the needs of families with children, youth and adults with autism, a developmental disorder affecting millions of individuals and their families.
