Sara Chapman, MA, Special Education

Sara Chapman is an educational consultant in private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area and has over 12 years of experience working with children with special needs in home, school, and community-based settings. Sara specializes in working with young children with challenges in relating and communicating, including children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing, and communication challenges. She holds a master’s and teaching credential in special education and is a graduate of the DIR model institute. Sara is member of the Profectum faculty and a DIR model facilitator at the DIR model training institute. She is also a member of the Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders (ICDL) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). In addition, Sara is a consultant for The Creekside School, a DIR model-based school in San Jose, California.
