Laura Baldwin is the Director of a Developmental Summer Program, Limitless, and the Paraprofessional Coordinator at Celebrate the Children, a school for children and young adults with autism and similar challenges, in Denville, New Jersey.
For over 15 years, Laura has been providing services to individuals with social, emotional, and developmental weaknesses in both school and private settings. Her advanced knowledge in the areas of child development, visual-spatial capacities, MNRI®, developmental and behavioral assessments, social skills, DIR ® Floortime, and Crisis Prevention
Intervention has provided her with many opportunities to work alongside leading professionals to train and coach educators, families, first responders, and medical personnel in developmental methodologies, positive behavioral support, and individual differences. One of Laura’s most recent notable achievements was joining the Profectum team
to assist in the creation of the Profectum Parent Toolbox, a free resource that encourages and supports parents in building their own toolbox of strategies, ideas, and hands-on techniques to help foster interactions with their child.
Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is currently enrolled in a graduate level program, completing her internship hours to obtain a dual master’s degree in clinical and school counseling. She is a certified provider of Autplay Therapy, a play therapy and behavioral therapy-based approach for treating neurodevelopmental disorders, developmental disabilities, and autism. Additionally, Laura is working towards her certification in play therapy and Cosmic Kids Yoga.
Amy Keveanos has worked in and out of district high school special ed for 16 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in English and Education from Monmouth University in 2002, then received her Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) from the College of St. Elizabeth graduate school. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in educational leadership at Montclair State University. She has worked at Celebrate the Children for 6 years and loves working with the DIR model and seeing how much progress students make with a relationship based approach.
Regina has worked in special education for 19 years. She has been at Celebrate the Children School in Denville NJ for the past 12 years where she has received much guidance and training from Monica Osgood and Stanley Greenspan. She supports a wide range of students and classrooms through intensive floortime and the 5 C’s developing individual goals for students and supporting staff. She assesses new and prospective students and helps to create and implement a developmentally appropriate plan to progress students emotionally, academically and behaviorally. She has consulted and offered support and guidance to local public schools within the developmental approach. She has helped to organize Profectum conferences throughout the country since 2011. Regina currently resides in Cranberry Lake / Byram NJ where she enjoys swimming and hiking with her dog “Garcia.”

This workshop will demonstrate how to use the scope and sequence of measurable DIR-FCD™ IEP goals based on Dr. Greenspan’s and Dr. Wieder’s Functional Emotional Developmental Levels (FEDL’s) and the Foundational Capacities for Development (FCD) principles and strategies to guide intervention and school programs. Participants will have the opportunity to practice the process of assessment, identification and individualizing DIR-FCD™ IEP goals for a range of middle and high school aged students. Multiple examples will highlight how data collection is used to guide staff and parent interactions and track progress.
