Edi Nelson, MS, OTR/L
Edi Nelson is an occupational therapist, specializing in development. She earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Boston University in 2001. From her first day in pediatrics, she learned how to work with children and their families using the DIR model as well as sensory integration. She has worked in a multitude of different settings, including private practice offices, schools, and client’s homes. Edi has many areas of interest in development but is particularly passionate about how to activate and support the affective system to drive all areas of function and integration. She is dedicated to parent education, coaching and support, as well as advocacy for the children and families with whom she works. Edi has been fortunate enough to be mentored by master DIR model clinicians from varied fields and has always had a great love of learning. This love continues as she thoroughly enjoys being a part of other practitioner’s journeys as an educator.
