Moving Moments Through Childhood
Dance/Movement therapy can enhance the therapeutic space by focusing on the body and movement. Clinicians and educators can incorporate movement and the integration of mind and body within their practice. The modality of dance/movement therapy forges the way for integrative practices and a “whole-child” focused approach to cognitive, physical, social, and emotional health. Participants will learn that D.A.N.C.E is present in every interaction from verbal and nonverbal communication to our simple heart beat. From breath and eye blinks to our grand leaps and twirls - join us to find the methods that integrate and unite us all.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will experience the D.A.N.C.E method for integrating therapeutic movement into clinical practice with children.
- Participants will receive hands-on techniques and feedback to further understand the integral aspects of a mind/body approach for children.
- Participants will listen to anecdotal evidence to support the therapeutic methods further providing an understanding for use in clinical practice.
Who should attend?
Parents, new professionals, DIR® practitioners (all levels) & child based therapeutic providers (Psych, MFT, OT, SP, BI)

While Wi-fi can work if your home/office has excellent connectivity, a wired internet connection to your PC/MAC is highly recommended.
